Yes. Your recovery package includes a new complimentary USB storage device. We will either send you a USB flash drive or an external hard drive with a USB connection. Your recovered files will be uploaded to the device and shipped to you by FedEx. This replacement drive is not going to be the exact same make/model that you sent us. All packages include up to 2TB of data recovery. Due to the high cost, anything over this storage size will incur a surcharge.

The turnaround time just means how long it will take for us to recover your files and send you a replacement drive. Your turnaround time begins on the first business day after we receive your device in our data recovery lab. The "turnaround" is the total number of business days to complete the job. However, if your drive required replacement parts, it may take longer. First, we’ll need your approval. Plus, there’s additional time for parts to arrive and repairs to be made. In such cases, you will be notified in advance via email. We’ll include a new price estimate as well as an estimated time of completion. This estimated turnaround time is not a guarantee. We work as quickly as we can to recover your data, however, in some situations where the drive has extensive physical damage, multiple failed RAIDs, or SSD chip-off recoveries, it may take a longer period of time, depending on the damage.

We take your privacy very seriously. Each member of our staff is required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. When you send us your drive, you can be confident that your information will never be shared with any other person or business. Once the data has been recovered and safely delivered to you, it remains on our data storage server for five business days. It is kept on this secure, internal server for this time period to ensure that you receive your shipment. If for any reason your data is lost, we can send a new copy to you. After the five days, it is permanently deleted from our secure server. As an added layer of security, we will encrypt your media with a password that is shared only with you at checkout. That way, if it is lost, no one else will be able to access your information.

Yes. Our technicians recover data from drives that make "clicking sounds" on a daily basis. This often means a part has failed and is making it impossible for the drive to read the data without an expert.

Yes. Our technicians recover data from broken, dropped, and damaged devices on a daily basis. It is likely internal parts have been damaged and make it impossible for the drive to read the data without an expert. We have the expertise, tools, and knowledge to recover this data.

Within 24 hours of receiving your drive(s) our data recovery technicians will begin a diagnosis. You will then receive the outcome of the diagnosis and a file list for you to confirm. Depending on the data recovery package you choose (which differs by the speed of turnaround time), you will then receive your data within the estimated turnaround time.

Most jobs are completed before the turnaround time is up, however, some jobs that may require repairs, parts, or sophisticated rebuilds may take longer than the selected turnaround time, in which case you will be notified in advance. Turnaround time is not guaranteed.

We charge a flat rate fee and fully disclose everything that you’ll be billed for. There are no hidden fees for data recovery. The ONLY time that you may incur an additional charge is in one of the following cases:

● The weight of your device is more than three pounds. In this case, there will be a shipping surcharge at checkout. (You can avoid this fee by removing the drive from your computer to ship rather than sending us the entire laptop or desktop.)

● If a drive is open (open case and, or exposed platter), including those serviced by another data recovery company or technician, or those that modified in any way from its original form will incur a $99.50 fee due prior an engineer performing a diagnostic assessment.

● The drive was opened without being in a clean room. You will receive a $99.95 non-refundable fee if we are able to recover the data.

● Another company serviced your drive before us. If we are able to recover the data on the drive, we reserve the right charge an additional $99.95 non-refundable fee.

● Drives with over 2TB of stored data will be charged an additional $100 fee for each TB over this amount.

● Flash drives or memory cards requiring chip-off or monolithic recovery may incur additional costs. In this case, you will be notified after the initial diagnostic.

● Additional parts are required to remove the data from the drive. In this case, you will be notified after the initial diagnostic. Drives that make irregular noises, click, or beep are potential candidates for physical repair and extra parts.

● Return shipping and handling of drives will incur a fee of $30. Drives weighing more than 3lbs will incur additional shipping fees.

● You can choose to ship the entire laptop using the free shipping label, however, there will be a $30 non-refundable charge to remove the drive.

● If you have a desktop, we recommend that you send only the hard drive. If you choose to ship the entire tower to us, you’ll be charged a non-refundable $30 hard drive removal fee if it is a PC, and a $60 non-refundable fee if it is an iMac or Apple based desktop. We will automatically assume that the computer is damaged and cannot be held liable for it. Once the data is recovered, you can request it returned to you or we will securely destroy it after 10 business days.

We will make every attempt to recover as much of your information as possible, however, we cannot guarantee the recovery of specific files. If we cannot recover any of your user files from the device, we will not charge you. If we are able to recover user-specific files, you will be charged, even if only a portion of them are recovered. It is impossible to guarantee that 100% of your files will be fully recovered, especially on damaged drives, but if we can recover some of them for you then it will be considered a successful recovery. If you have specific files that are a priority, please include this information when you checkout.

If we are unable to recover at least 10% of the data from your drive, you will not be charged. We will also securely destroy it at no cost to you. If you prefer to have the unrecoverable media returned, then there is a shipping fee of up to $30 for most packages.
